This book provides excellent advice for the person unfamiliar with the UK education system, examination by essay. It is very thorough and includes explanations related to note taking, organizing and revision before the exam as well as essay preparation.

Great advice for the serious writer, but too complicated for any one who is struggling and in need of rapid improvement. I really wanted to keep it for myself, but needed more of a resource to teach my 16 year old than an in depth study for my own writing.
